Diary post 34

During this week, I recieved feedback from my teacher to improve my music video, as the backgrounds in some shots didn't really match with the rest of the sequence and by replacing the flourishes and colours with lens flares, this will enable it to look better, so I will be editing this on After Effects. I have also finished my evaluation, exporting them as a seperate question each time and these will be on my blog shortly. After this, I think I have finished everything! Will just be checking through my blog to ensure everything is detailed and up to date.

Diary Post 33

During this week I have been finishing and finalizing my coursework, I have been working on my evaluation, this took me quite long trying to think about how media-like I could make it, and thinking what was most suitable to put in places, but I have now finished it and waiting for it to export so I can upload it to my blog.
    I have also been recording more diary posts to put on my blog, and just making sure each post is as detailed as it can, for my media deadline tomorrow!

Diary Post 32

During the Easter holidays I am working on my media evaluation, I am using Adobe Premiere Pro and have imported all my speech recordings, now I need to edit it all together and add the visuals to it. I am going to use a YouTube converter to get some music videos, and also try and download Camstasia to be able to use examples of my work.

Diary Post 31

This week I have been working towards my evaluation, I have been gathering clips together that I will use for my evaluation as I want to make it as media-animated as possible.
   I have also been working towards getting all my audience feedback together, I let people view my work and make comments so I could see them next to my print work, this was really helpful and I can now include this in my evaluation.
  I now have 2 weeks to complete all my coursework.

Diary Post 30

During this week, I have been trying to complete all my coursework, I am at the final stages of completeing everything now which is good,but am just trying to make sure everything is as good as it can be, I will be working on my evaluation till its all due in, my music video is just about done but I still need to export it, and upload it to my blog which is quite a hassle as its so big, it takes a long time and often crashes YouTube so I need to make it a smaller file.

Diary Post 29

During this week, I have been focusing on my evaluation. I have written a first draft and recorded most of this, I have since added some improvements to my evaluation and will be finishing recording this on monday.
  I have also been finishing off my music video, I exported my video and watched it back, finding a mistake I went back into After Effects and corrected this, this should be the final version now!
  Next week will be me working on my evaluation, finishing it off, getting all my blog up to date and complete, and then in a week all my coursework will be sent in!

Diary Post 28

This weekend I have spent a majority of my time working on my blog. I have been updating all my posts and making sure I have added all my work up to now. I also made a few more real life productions to show how my work would be advertised. I created a 'fake' Facebook Page for my artist, this is because my target audience would be at the age where they have Facebook, and they could then like the page and find out news, events, pictures etc to do with the artist! I made this on Facebook, creating a new account and then edited the figures on Photoshop, (like how many people had liked the page etc). I thought this was a good way to show my productions being advertised as social networking would be a huge part of attracting audiences!
   I have also worked more on my evaluation, I will continue with this tomorrow.

Diary Post 27

I have been working on my evaulation, and will be recording this as soon as possible. I have also been working on my print designs, putting them into different scenarios like tube stations, billboards and on buses, I created an additional poster to fit onto buses, and these will be on my blog!
  I am also showing my music video to my media class, where I can get some audience feedback, this will be on be blog soon!

Diary Post 26

During the last week, I have been finishing my music video in After Effects, after correcting the mistakes I made, I have left my video to export (which takes quite a long time!) and hopefully everything looks right and if I am happy with it, that will be the final version! :)
   I have also written two of my evaluation questions, I aim to have written it all by the weekend, so I can record it one day next week and then start putting it all together on Adobe Premiere, I want to make this as multi-media as possible and include as much as I can!

Diary Post 25

During this week, I have been working on my music video in After Effects, this took a lot more time then I had planned, I didn't realise how many effects and just how much you could do on Adobe After Effects, so made the best out of it as I could! I have been watching tutorials such as 'video co-pilot' to help me with certain effects and tools, this has been really useful.
   I have almost finished, but when watching my draft of my music video, some clips had been moved so the singer wasn't in time with the song anymore, and I had missed some greenscreen shoots which went really fast, so by watching it properly I was able to note down these mistakes and I am now correcting them.

Diary Post 24

During this week I have just been continuing on editing my music video in After Effects, I have almost finished now, but just making sure all the errors I found are being changed and making sure the song is in the exact time with the performer, as I exported a draft of my music video where a few mistakes had been made as you can see down below.
  I have also started to write my evaluation this week, I will be completing this in the next two weeks.

Diary Post 23

During this weekend, I have been working on finishing my music video, I have had several problems though, as Premiere will not save my rendered progress, so when I open it up nothing is rendered, and it takes a good two hours to complete then ends up crashing! So its been hard to get much done, but at school tomorrow I am going to transfer all my work to the computer and finish it there!
   All my Photoshop work is done, and will be uploaded to my blog.

Diary Post 22

Its half term, and I have been working from home on my productions, I have finished my digipack and magazine adverts finally, and will upload them to my blog shortly. I used the feedback I got as best I could, and have asked people in my house what they think, they all agree my final versions look a lot better!
   For the rest of this week I will continue to get my music video finished!

Diary 21

This week I have just been editing my music video, I have gotten quite far now, I imported my greenscreen shootings, and now have a completed section of clips so I can finish my editing. I have about 40 seconds left to cover, it dosent sound like much but I reckon itll take a lesson or two to finish! Then once I am happy with the editing, I can export it into After Effects.

I am also playing around with my digipack and magazine advert drafts, I will hopefully have these finished in the next few days!

Diary 20

I havenæt really made many changes since my last post, I have just been playing around with clips and seeing what looks best before I continue to do more. I am shooting my greenscreen at the end of this week, so once I have these new clips this will help me make more progress.

I have also been watching a few tutorials online for doing things and effects on Premiere, I think its important to widen my skills and get the best out of the programme I am using.

Diary 19

I have been continuing editing my music video, Its taken me a while to choose which clips fit best with the parts of the song, and I donæt really like what Ive done so far so am thinking about changing it, I still need to shoot my greenscreen clips which will help! Its going good though, time wise im okay, and I think by changing what Ive done so far will make me happier.

Still need to edit my digipack drafts.

Diary 18

During this week, I have been working on my digipack and magazine advert drafts, I have finally uploaded them below, and also got feedback from people in my class on what I can improve for when I make my final products.
   This week, I have also started editing my music video together, I havenæt finished filming all I need yet, but have enough to make a start! I am using Adobe Premiere Pro to edit my clips together, and then will use Adobe After Effects during the end, to finalize my music video.
   I am having a few issues with Premiere as it keeps shutting down, but I am going to transfer my clips to a laptop to stop this from happening, I have a variety of shots to get started which makes it a lot easier when choosing what clips to use ect. as I have a good choice.

Diary 17

I have added all my footage to Adobe Premiere Pro, and I am starting to fit in clips where I think looks best, and I have also started to draft my printwork out, I will be continuing this for the next few weeks as I think the editing of my music video will take me quite a long time.

Diary 16

After filming my second location shooting, I have been watching over footage this past week and been editing bits together, I have also started on my drafts of my magazine advert with the photos I took at my photoshoot.

During this week, I was finishing off all my planning documents and drafts to make sure I was finished on time, I successfully finished drafting and planning on time, and I also had my second location shoot this week too. I filmed at my own house, and in the alleyway near my house at night. I found it quite challenging as I didn't have anyone to assist me and the weather caused some difficulties! But overall it was a great success and I got some great footage.
